Kittery’s Scar Salve

This scar-soothing salve adds grapeseed oil to my normal base of olive oil and shea butter — the better to ease scars and help them heal. I’ve infused the oils with calendula and comfrey to hasten healing, and to that I’ve added myrrh, lime, and lavender essential oils — all helpful in preventing the formation of scars.
Lastly I’ve added a whole lot of vitamin E oil, a sovereign remedy and also the ingredient that allows me to avoid artificial preservatives.
I’m not gonna say that this’ll erase old scars — but it’ll help keep new ones from being as visible, and who knows? It might just ease the old ones a little bit.
As always, I’ve made it by hand out of essential oils and other natural ingredients.
